The next industrial standard won't be built by a traditional software team guessing at industrial complexity. It demands a rare combination: decades of deep industrial expertise, a proven category-building founder, and the ambition and speed to build something entirely new.
We've brought them together.
More than three decades at the bleeding edge of physical and digital complexity, Stefan's career has been spent at the exact intersection where code meets the physical world. A former Associate Professor and hands-on technical leader, his path spans research at Oxford, academia, Sony, and NVIDIA, with end-to-end ownership of complex systems across academia, big tech, and deep-tech startups. From securing millions in research funding to deploying globally scaled, patented technologies at Sony, he has operated across nearly every layer of the stack. Most recently, as a researcher and engineering leader in NVIDIA's autonomous driving division, he held the technical mandate for perception architecture on Volvo Group's Level 4 autonomous trucking program. This was one of the industry's most demanding autonomy efforts, requiring large-scale software systems to operate reliably against hard physical, safety, and hardware constraints. Having lived these breakdowns firsthand at the frontier, Stefan brings the rare technical depth and hard-won scars required to map and rethink the infrastructure of the $16 trillion physical world.
